Alert Level System to cover other areas outside NCR

THE coverage of the government’s Alert Level System will be expanded outside the National Capital Region (NCR) starting tomorrow, October 20, a top Palace official announced.

The implementation of the COVID-19 alert level system in areas outside of Metro Manila, according to Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque in a virtual briefing, was approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) on Monday.

He mentioned that Negros Oriental and Davao Occidental will be under Alert Level 4. Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Siquijor, Davao City and Davao del Norte, meanwhile, will take the Alert Level 3 status.

Batangas, Quezon province, Lucena City, Bohol, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Cebu province, Davao de Oro, Davao del Sur, and Davao Oriental, meanwhile, will be under Alert Level 2.

The alert levels in these areas will be effective until October 31, Roque averred.
