Fire breaks out at Mega Tower in Mandaluyong City

A FIRE hits the 27th floor of the Mega Tower office/residential building located beside SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City on Thursday morning, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has reported.

According to the MMDA, the fire level was raised to the first alarm as of 10:39 a.m. which requires at least 4 fire trucks to respond based on the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) fire alarm levels.

In the same alert on Facebook, the MMDA further confirmed that the BFP and fire volunteers have immediately responded.

Radio reports noted that some people at the higher floors have broken the glass windows, presumably for better ventilation.
