At least six more Filipinos have been tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in abroad.
According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) as of November 7, there are 11,423 Overseas Filipino’s (OFs) from 81 countries and nearby regions are reportedly infected with the virus.
Of that number, 3,228 OF’s are under treatment in different hospitals of their respective countries.
Meanwhile, the agency noted that there are 7,367 OF’s have been recovered from the infectious disease which half of them were already discharged from the hospital while a total of 828 COVID-19 related deaths were recorded.
The most confirmed COVID-19 positive of OF’s are in the Middle East and Africa with 7,492 confirmed cases followed by Europe with 1,266; 816 cases in the Americas and 1,849 in the Asia Pacific Region.
The DFA has assured that through Foreign Service Posts, the situation of Filipinos abroad will be in focused and ready to assist Filipinos affected by the COVID-19 pandemic anywhere in the world.
