TWO million doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the AstraZeneca brand arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, bringing to seven million the total number of doses that the country has received so far.

The new delivery, which forms part of the donations made through the World Health Organization’s COVAX facility, was brought to the Philippines via a Singapore Airlines commercial flight and was received at the NAIA Terminal 2.

It is the single biggest delivery so far from the COVAX Facility.

The two million doses will be administered as completion doses for medical frontliners, senior citizens, and people with comorbidities who already got their first shot.
