Young man drowned into waterfalls in Bataan

Authorities have recovered the lifeless body of a 20-year-old young man who was reportedly drowned while picking wild plants around the Dunsulan Falls in Barangay Liyang in Pilar, Bataan.

In a report from Police Capt. Emerson Coballes, chief of the Pilar Municipal Police station, the victim identified as Allan Walter Cruz, a resident of the said barangay.

Initial investigation disclosed that victim accompanied by a friend named Kevin Hernandez went to a hill just right beside the local popular Dunsulan Falls to pick up wild plants on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 4.

While picking wild plants the victim suddenly slipped and fell right into the falls causing him to drowned.

His friend Kevin allegedly tried to save him but on second thought for fear that he might as well would drown and instead he calls for help.

It was on Thursday afternoon, when search and retrieval team recovered the victim’s body not far from where he fell.

Hernandez was still in shocked as he never came to think that picking flowers would cost his friend’s life and even before he knew of the risks that might happen to him.
