VP Leni still open to run for 2022 elections

VICE President Leni Robredo, on Tuesday clarified that so far, she has neither concrete political plans nor someone to endorse for the upcoming national elections but remains willing to run in May 2022.

Robredo took to her Twitter account to put an end to the rising questions lately thrown at her along with other politicians as election season is fast approaching.

Nililinaw ko lang: Wala pang desisyong at wala akong inendorso,” she wrote atop her post.

The Vice President further noted that the removal of the present Duterte administration from its authority spring from the clamor and interest of the people to achieve good governance for the Philippines.

“Ang punto ko lang, malinaw ang layunin ng lahat ng naniniwala sa makatao at maayos na pamamahala: ang palitan ang kasalukuyang pamahalaan,” she remarked.

Robredo firmly stated that the Filipino people and its leaders should brace together to unite and become pro-active for the attainment of the country’s developmental goals.

The country’s second highest executive lastly confirmed that, albeit still indecisive, she is eager to run for the sake of achieving such progress deemed worthy for the nation.

Kailangan tayong handang makiisa at magkaisa para sa layuning ito, para makamit ang tagumpay. Nananatili akong bukas sa pagtakbo kung iyon ang ikabubuti ng ating bayan,” she emphasized.

On September 6, Robredo first shared that she would be pleased to extend support, should Manila Mayor Francisco Domagoso and Senator Manny Pacquiao form a tandem for presidential and vice presidential bids in next year’s elections, stressing that she is open to anything if it would be the only way to break the chain of a dire governance.
