The Utah Jazz is officially the no. 1 overall team in this year’s NBA season after notching their 52nd win in 72 games today.

Fil-Am sensation Jordan Clarkson leads all scorers with 33 points off the bench for the Jazz. Meanwhile, guard Terence Davis scored a team-high 20 points for the Kings.

There is a big chance that the Jazz will either meet the Golden State Warriors or the defending champions LA Lakers in the first round of the playoffs depending on the results of the play-in tournament which begin on May 19.

The winner of the Warriors-Lakers game will be the no. 7 seed and will meet the Pheonix Suns (2). The losing team will meet the winner between the Memphis Grizzlies (10) and San Antonio Spurs (11). Who ever wins clinches spot no. 8 and will battle the Jazz in the 1st round.
