PHILIPPINE-made mattress brand Uratex made history for the country as it toppled a total of 2,355 human mattress dominoes and broke the current world record of 2,019 human mattress dominoes.

It was tense all around the SMX Convention Center but the tension was broken when it was announced by official adjudicator Mai McMillan that Uratex finally established a new Guinness World Records feat and beat the former record established in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil in 2019.

The new record was also a fitting cap for the day as Uratex, makers of top-quality mattresses and other world-class products, also celebrates its 55th year anniversary.

Aside from breaking the record, the mattresses used in the attempt will be donated to 55 charitable organizations that were earlier identified by Uratex.

Peachy Cheng-Medina, Managing Director of Uratex, thanked all the participants for their sacrifice in helping establish the record-breaking feat and in putting a highlight to the company’s milestone.

“The past 55 years has been quite a journey from our well-documented humble beginnings. We are not in these kinds of big events, but we know we have to memorialize this milestone where we take a moment, to be grateful to God, to our employees, to our partners and to our customers,” Medina said after the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Natividad Cheng, received the certificate that certifies the record attempt.
