Expanding business the Idara Way

Do you want to try franchising?

Franchising Opportunities Franchising can be a lucrative venture, but it also comes with  its fair share of challenges. From replicating the original company’s offerings to ensuring  profitability and managing the high costs involved, there are many hurdles to overcome.

Luisa Lipnica, the owner of Idara Aesthetics Philippines, understands these challenges  all too well. After successfully launching her business in her Quezon City condo unit and  navigating through the pandemic, Lipnica now has three franchisees and multiple  branches nationwide. Idara sets itself apart from competitors by not only offering the usual  facial and skin whitening services but also providing non-surgical enhancements like Hiko  Nose Threadlifts.

Lipnica, a registered nurse, reveals that franchise holders are often  drawn to the business because they want to enhance their own looks and help others do  the same. To ensure prime locations, Idara has tapped into various Ayala Malls,  Robinsons Malls, and SM Malls known for their heavy foot traffic and ample parking  space. Currently, Idara can be found at Robinsons Mall Galleria, Robinsons-Las Pinas,  Ayala Feliz-Marikina, Mall of Asia, and SM North EDSA. While having a good location is  crucial, Lipnica acknowledges that maintaining the high standards of the mother company  is equally challenging. Franchise holders must offer expertise, create a relaxing  ambiance, and provide excellent service. To tackle this challenge, Lipnica conducts an  intensive two-month training program that covers Idara’s products and services, including  operating the machines, creating a welcoming atmosphere, maintaining cleanliness,  selecting appropriate music, and accurately documenting patients’ information. Lipnica emphasizes the importance of meeting their standards and provides ongoing training for  those who fall short. In extreme cases, he replaces the person in charge.

To ensure  knowledge transfer and cost-saving, Lipnica grooms someone within each branch to  become the resident specialist. This individual doesn’t necessarily need to be a  supervisor or manager but must be the ultimate expert in Idara’s aesthetics procedures.  Lipnica personally trains the chosen candidate at the flagship office in Timog Quezon City to ensure they can handle any situation. In addition to expertise and service, profitability  is a key factor in franchising success. Lipnica and his team provide potential franchisees  with a detailed breakdown of projected costs, deliverables, and profit margins. This helps  them understand that they can start earning a return on investment as early as the first  year of operations.

Looking ahead, Lanica has plans for expansion in key suburbs.  Franchise opportunities are being offered at Ayala MarQuee Mall in Angeles, Pampanga,  and at Ayala Subic. These branches, like other Idara clinics, boast clean white lines,  comfortable rattan furniture, and a minimalist design that creates a sense of simplicity  and a stress-free atmosphere. With the aesthetics business booming, Lipnica aims to  have a total of 100 branches in the next 5 years, both company-owned and under  franchisees. This ambitious goal is well within reach for a company that has not only  survived the challenges of the pandemic but also continues to attract satisfied customers.
