A CLOSED van allegedly lost its brakes and crashed into a residential area alongside the Olongapo-Gapan Road in Brgy. Bangal, Dinalupihan, Bataan early Tuesday morning.
According to initial reports, a car and a house were damaged in the accident. However, there were no reported deaths or serious injuries.
According to witnesses, the truck driver named Roland Payongan and truck helper Roland Cayongan immediately jumped out before the vehicle hit a parked car and a house in the area owned by Marietta Gacita and Ernesto Kenpis.
The Metro Bataan Development Authority, Olongapo Fire Rescue, Dinalupihan Police, Dinalupihan Bureau of Fire Protection Medics, various rescue teams, and Peninsula Electric Cooperative immediately responded to the accident site.
The injured driver and helper were immediately brought to the James Gordon Hospital in Olongapo City.
