TWO cops were collared in two separate operations by operatives of the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) for their involvement in a variety of cases.

It was learned from PNP officer-in-charge Police Lieutenant General Vicente Danao that the IMEG arrested Patrolman Jonjon Cacao in Tagkawayan, Quezon.

Cacao has an outstanding warrant of arrest for robbery-extortion.

It was learned that Cacao went Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL) after getting involved in a corruption case.

Aside from Cacao, Police Major Angelita Nastor, who also has a standing warrant of arrest for a direct assault case, was arrested in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

Danao assured that they will strictly apply internal discipline in the PNP and all police personnel will be held responsible if proven of their violation.

He also urged the public to inform the IMEG of any wrongdoings that involve men in PNP uniform.
