Tricycle driver nabbed in P350K shabu drug bust in Laguna

CAMP VICENTE LIM, CALAMBA, Laguna – A tricycle driver listed on the drug watchlist was arrested in an anti-drug bust operation at his Santa Cruz home in Laguna on Saturday, October 24, 2020.

Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO) Director Col. Serafin Petalio II reported to Regional Police Director Brig. General Vicente Danao Jr., the suspect Arnold Cabigan Agus, 47, of Sitio 4 Purok Imelda, Barangay Calios was caught by authorities while trying to hide P350,000 worth of illegal drugs inside his room.  

Armed with search warrant issued by Hon. Judge Divinagracia G. Bustos-Ongkeko, Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) 4th Judicial Region, Santa Cruz, Laguna, the combined elements of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Santa Cruz Municipal Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted the operation against Agus.

Police recovered 11 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and 1 knot-tied transparent plastic containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with street value of P350, 000.00.

Suspect is now detained at the Sta. Cruz police detention facility facing criminal case in violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
