Training plane crashes in Zambales

IBA, ZAMBALES — A training aircraft belonging to a local flying school crash-landed in this province Friday afternoon, July 11, 2025, prompting an immediate response from aviation and local authorities.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the light aircraft went down in Iba, Zambales under circumstances that are now under official investigation.

All four individuals on board — reportedly flight students and instructors — were found in stable condition.

“They are safe and conscious, but will still undergo medical evaluation as part of standard protocol,” CAAP said in a statement.

The Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board (AAIIB) has been tasked to look into the incident to determine its cause.

Investigators are now on-site to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

As of this writing, the name of the flying school and details about the aircraft model have not been disclosed.

Authorities assured the public that safety protocols are being strictly observed and that further information will be released as the probe progresses.
