BATAAN — Three people were injured after a mixer truck lost control and plunged into a ravine along a steep curve on Tipo Road in Bataan on Thursday afternoon.
The truck reportedly slammed into a parked Mitsubishi L300 and a roadside eatery before careening off the road and falling into a deep ravine. The truck’s helper, a female vendor from the eatery, and a male customer who was dining at the time were injured in the incident.
According to initial reports, the driver managed to jump out of the vehicle before it plunged, but the other victims were unable to escape in time and fell along with the truck.
Emergency responders arrived promptly and transported the injured to a nearby hospital. Their current conditions are being closely monitored.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, the local government has urged motorists to observe extra caution, particularly along the dangerous curves of Tipo Road. Officials are also pushing for stricter inspections of heavy vehicles to prevent similar incidents.
