Teener killed in police shootout in Davao

A teenager, known to be a ruthless thug and criminal was killed in a shootout with police in Davao City early Saturday morning, November 21.

Authorities identified the deceased suspect as Mossanip Rabbam Jumdaine, 20.

Initial report said, Jumdaine was riding a motorcycle without a license plate when he allegedly avoided a police check point at the vicinity of Barangay Bangkal.

The suspect eventually fired a gun when the police manning the checkpoint chased him as the result of the said encounter.

Police learned after the deadly shootout that Jumdaine’s motorcycle was a carnapped vehicle.

At the encounter site, the suspect was found in possession of a homemade .38 caliber revolver, a package of suspected shabu and a motorcycle, said to be stolen last Friday night at the Relief Bridge.

Police narrated that Jumdaine was also a suspect in the brutal murder of sales clerk John Lester Quirog on the Ulas bridge on March 16 and also facing charges of carnapping in connection with the incident that took place on November 15.

He was also allegedly involved in a series of robberies and ‘akyat-bahay’ incident in Barangay Talomo.
