A nuncio is the pope’s representative and he organizes and runs the process that results in the appointment of bishops by the Pope. The nuncio, when a diocese is vacant as Manila was the nuncio would do a lot of consultation, investigation of possible candidates for the position. And develops after a lot of work and consultation, we develop a list of candidates,” ayon kay nuncio.

“Pope Francis has famously said he wants bishops with the smell of the sheep. What does that mean? A bishop that is close to the people, who know their people and known by their people. And obviously he is looking for a man with deep faith and holiness,” paliwanag ni Archbishop Brown sa Pastoral Visit on-the-air ng Radio Veritas.
