Manila, Philippines — Takeda Healthcare Philippines, Inc. (THPI) has been recognized for the second consecutive year at the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability (ACES) Awards, earning honors in the Inspiring Workplaces in Asia category for its people-centered workplace culture.
The recognition underscores the company’s continued focus on employee engagement, inclusivity, and well-being, which Takeda said supports its mission of delivering better health outcomes for patients in the Philippines.
“Our commitment to Takeda-ism has helped create a dynamic and inclusive workplace while strengthening trust with stakeholders and supporting sustainable business growth,” said Loreann Villanueva, country manager of Takeda Healthcare Philippines.
In its citation, ACES cited Takeda’s efforts to embed its core values—collectively known as Takeda-ism—into daily operations, highlighting programs that promote psychological safety, collaboration, resilience, and innovation.
The awards body also pointed to Takeda’s employee initiatives, including wellness and resilience programs, mentoring, innovation incubators, and expanded benefits that extend coverage to dependents, as factors contributing to high levels of employee engagement and inclusivity.
Among the company’s workplace initiatives are the extension of medical benefits to same-sex and common-law partners, quarterly care kits, wellness programs, a dedicated wellness room, and flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work, flexible hours, and “No Meeting Fridays.”
