Subdivision guards to face raps for preventing police from conducting probe on SUV driver

MANDALUYONG Police filed obstruction of justice charges against the security guards of the subdivision who prevented the police from conducting an investigation on the SUV driver who ran over a security guard in Mandaluyong City last Sunday.

According to Mandaluyong City Police Chief, Police Col. Mel Unos, they filed obstruction of justice raps against the three security personnel with the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office this morning.

The policemen who went to the subdivision to conduct an investigation on the incident were prevented by the guards from conducting their work.

It was learned that the police team attempted twice to enter the subdivision but they were prevented by the security guards of the exclusive Ayala Heights Subdivision in Old Balara, Quezon City.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police appealed to the SUV driver to coordinate and surrender with law enforcement authorities.
