The SM Group has not forgotten that this is the time of year to spread hope, joy and good cheer to thousands of families nationwide

The year, the Group mobilized its Christmas Kalinga donation drive, a joint project of SM Supermalls, SM Retail, SM Markets, and SM Foundation to provide essential items to residents and families of poor Filipinos who were heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent spate of natural calamities.

“Christmas is the time for solidarity and generosity. After experiencing great adversities this year, this is the time for us to give hope and reach out to those in need. It is through our converged effort that we can make this possible,” said SM Supermalls president Steven Tan.

The area recently visited by the group was Olongapo City, where a total of 1,000 families benefitted from the Christmas Kalinga packs including the Maliwakat Tribe of Brgy. New Cabalan, Upper Sibul, Brgy. East Bajac Bajac, Gordon Heights Cell 1 and Bantay Ilog Brgy. Kalaklan.
