SENATE President Juan Miguel Zubiri revealed that Sen. Imee Marcos tested positive for COVID-19.

Zubiri made the announcement after the roll call amid the plenary session.

According to the Senate President, Sen. Marcos wrote to him and requested that she be allowed to attend the Senate session virtually or online since she has COVID-19.

She also asked that she will not open her camera since she has raging fever.

Sen. Marcos spoke virtually and said she is monitoring online.

Last week, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano also tested positive for COVID-19 and likewise was unable to attend the Senate plenary session.

Because of the increasing number of people testing positive in the Senate and in the country, the Senate will continue to implement strict health protocols.
