THE city government of Manila said that confirmatory RT-PCR tests will remain free to the city’s residents.

The tests will remain available in the city’s six district hospitals: Ospital ng Maynila, Ospital ng Tondo, Ospital ng Sampaloc, Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Justice Abad Santos General Hospital and Sta. Ana Hospital.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna made the pronouncement amid the continuous increase in COVID-19 cases in the country.

Lacuna emphasized that the free RT-PCR tests will greatly benefits city residents, considering the high cost of those tests in private institutions that can reach up to P3,800 or even higher.

At present, 213,310 city residents have benefited from the free swab tests in Manila.
