Rep. Marisol Panotes, Camarines Norte 2nd District, passes away

CAMARINES Norte Second District Representative Marisol Panotes passed away this morning.

She was 76 years old.

The news was confirmed by Rosemarie Panotes, the legislator’s daughter, who posted about the solon’s passing on social media today.

No other details were provided regarding the lawmaker’s cause of death.

According to House Assistant Majority Leader Nina Taduran, Panotes died around 1:01 a.m., based on information provided by the legislator’s family.

In the present 18th Congress, Panotes served as vice chairperson of the House Committee on Disaster Resilience and the Committee on Population and Family Relations, and is also a member of not less then eight committees at the Lower House.

Meanwhile, the flag at the provincial capitol of Camarines Norte is now at half mast as a sign of mourning and tribute for Rep. Panotes.
