QUEZON CITY – The Quezon City Police District (QCPD), led by Deputy District Director for Administration and Officer-in-Charge, Police Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio, officially launched the KADIWA ng Pangulo (KNP) Program at 8:00 AM today in front of the DMFB building at Camp PMGen Tomas B. Karingal, Sikatuna Village, Quezon City.
The launch was attended by Ms. Joyce Mojica Bengo, Division Chief of the Marketing Development Division under the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (AMAS) of the Department of Agriculture (DA). In her remarks, Ms. Bengo underscored the historical significance of the KADIWA initiative in advancing food security and supporting Filipino farmers. She also highlighted the strong partnership between the DA and the Philippine National Police (PNP), which now brings farm-fresh, affordable goods directly to the police force and their families.
The KNP Program aims to provide government-subsidized, low-cost food and basic commodities to uniformed personnel. It is part of a broader government strategy to promote inclusive economic growth, enhance food sustainability, and improve the welfare of frontline workers. Through this initiative, the DA, PNP, and other stakeholders ensure that quality agricultural products are made more accessible while simultaneously strengthening the livelihood of local farmers.
“This program is a win-win—it uplifts our local agriculture sector while giving our police force better access to essential goods,” said PCol Silvio. “We are proud to bring this initiative closer to our personnel and their families.”
