THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) under the leadership of PCOL Melecio M Buslig, Jr through the District Community Affairs Development Division (DCADD), District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB), and Stations’ Community Affair Section (SCAD), has successfully hosted 56 community engagement. These initiatives reached 2,876 QCitizens across various barangays in Quezon City from January 10 to 16, 2025.
The initiative featured lectures such as Community Anti-Terrorism Awareness (CATA), Anti-Illegal Drug Awareness, Crime Prevention and Safety Tips, Safe Spaces Act, Bomb Awareness, R.A. 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children, R.A. 8353 or the Anti-Rape Law of 1997, Human Rights, Gender Sensitivity and Equality, R.A. 10627 or the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 and other special laws.
Participants were also introduced to the eGovPH app, a valuable tool that enables police officers to provide immediate responses to reported crimes and incidents. In addition, livelihood programs and free haircut services were conducted while IEC materials, food packs, and hot meals were distributed to beneficiaries.
“Ang ugnayan sa pagitan ng pulisya at ng mamamayan ay susi sa isang ligtas na komunidad. Ang mga ganitong programa ay nagpapatibay ng ating relasyon at nagtutulungan tayo para sa kapakanan ng lahat, said Buslig.
