Marcos and Robredo supporters unite at EDSA rally to call for VP Duterte’s impeachment

Supporters of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and former Vice President Leni Robredo came together at the EDSA People Power Monument on Friday to call for the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte.

The unusual coalition was organized by the Bunyog Party and Pro-Impeach Sara Vloggers, attracting a diverse crowd from opposing political factions.

Among those present were the Magdalo group, a known opposition organization, along with Representatives France Castro and Arlene Brosas, both prominent advocates for progressive causes.

The rally served as a platform for attendees to air grievances against Vice President Duterte, focusing on alleged misconduct and controversial policies.

Organizers argued that these actions warranted impeachment, emphasizing the need for accountability in public office.

“This is a call for justice and unity, regardless of political affiliations,” said a representative from Bunyog Party, highlighting the rare collaboration between groups historically at odds.

The event marks a notable moment in Philippine politics, as factions from different sides of the political spectrum put aside their differences to rally behind a common cause.

Demonstrators vowed to sustain their efforts until formal impeachment proceedings are initiated.
