In line with its steadfast commitment to the welfare of its personnel, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), under the leadership of District Director PBGEN Melecio Buslig, Jr., extended financial assistance to 114 members of its force through the Damayan Program.
PBGEN Buslig emphasized that the Damayan Program continues to be one of QCPD’s key initiatives in providing timely support to personnel facing financial or personal hardships. Between September 20, 2024, and March 31, 2025, a total of Php2,200,000.00 was disbursed to beneficiaries across various QCPD stations and units.
The breakdown of the financial aid is as follows:

Php1,540,000.00 – Burial assistance for the immediate family members of 77 QCPD personnel
Php250,000.00 – Medical assistance for 25 QCPD personnel
Php30,000.00 – Medical assistance for personnel wounded in police operations (WIPO)
Php80,000.00 – Salamat Kapatid assistance for eight retiring personnel
These funds were personally distributed by PEMS Boy Clarito M. Blancad, the District Executive Senior Police Officer (DESPO), who continues to lead the program’s implementation with dedication.
“The Damayan Program is not just about providing financial aid—it’s a testament to the compassion and solidarity within QCPD. Every officer deserves to feel supported, not only in service but also in the challenges life brings,” PBGEN Buslig, Jr. stated.
