Police Colonel Melecio Buslig Jr., Acting District Director of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), announced that 214 individuals were arrested during weeklong anti-illegal drug and anti-criminality operations conducted from January 19 to 25, 2025.
The operations targeted various illegal activities, resulting in the arrest of 64 wanted persons, 69 illegal gamblers, 77 drug suspects, and 4 individuals for possession of illegal firearms.
Anti-Drug Campaign
A total of 48 anti-drug operations were conducted, leading to the arrest of 77 drug suspects and the seizure of illegal drugs worth Php2,362,044.00.
Campaign Against Wanted Persons
The QCPD successfully apprehended 64 wanted individuals, including 32 Most Wanted Persons and 32 Other Wanted Persons. Notable arrests include:
Jorell Bacus, 26, wanted for violating R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), who had been in hiding for 20 years.
Danilo Barte, 31, wanted for murder, evading authorities for 10 years.
Rubener Bolastig Delima, 34, wanted for qualified theft, hiding for 9 years.
Lindo Danilo, 59, apprehended for violations of COMELEC Resolution No. 10029 and R.A. 7166.
Fernando Susana Serandon, 48, arrested for reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property.
Rosamel Cara De Guzman, 47, wanted for illegal recruitment, hiding for 8 years.
Harold Marquez, 43, listed as No. 6 Station Level Most Wanted, arrested for carnapping after hiding for 7 years.
Jomar Tuazon, 37, listed as No. 7 Station Level Most Wanted, apprehended for violating R.A. 9165 after 7 years in hiding.
Norman Ballano Celso, 36, wanted for attempted murder, hiding for 6 years.
All arrests have been reported to the respective courts of origin.
Campaign Against Illegal Gambling
Twenty-eight anti-illegal gambling operations led to the arrest of 69 individuals and the confiscation of Php26,307.00 in bet money.
Campaign Against Loose Firearms
Four operations against loose firearms resulted in the recovery of four firearms and the arrest of four individuals.
