THE Philippine National Police (PNP) will investigate an incident in Zambales wherein riders, referred to in the viral video as policemen, were doing dangerous motorcycle stunts while traversing the road.

PNP chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar said he tasked the concerned police units to determine if the two riders are indeed policemen.

“After I watched the viral video, I immediately order the PRO3 Regional Director, Police Brig. Gen. Val de Leon, including the Director of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) to pinpoint, investigate and mete appropriate penalties on these “kamote riders.” Included in my orders is to determine if these two are really policemen,” said PGen Eleazar.

He said this action could not only endanger their lives but also that of other motorists on the road. He also stressed that their action was a violation of road regulations.

“There is a right place for these activities and for the longest time, public roads are not included because this may cause road accidents that will endanger the lives of motorists and our other kababayan,” said PGen Eleazar.

The Chief PNP said that if the investigation would reveal that they are indeed police officers, they would certainly be sanctioned.

“I expect a speedy result in the investigation and I warn other personnel who are motorcycle riders not to imitate irresponsible and motorcycle clowns on the road,,” said PGen Eleazar.
