THE two police trainees from Rizal who were accused of committing rape were ordered removed from the police field training program.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar directed the immediate removal from the police field training program of the two aspiring policemen, identified as AJ Magsino and Jack Marquez, police trainees of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station in Rizal.

Initial investigation showed that Magsino allegedly invited a female text mate to meet at a motel for a sexual encounter. Right after, Magsino allegedly stepped outside the room leaving his partner sleeping. Marquez went in the room then allegedly raped the girl who woke up and was able to escape to report the incident.

The two police trainees accused of rape are now detained and are facing administrative and criminal charges. This is proof that swift action to complaints against erring personnel has become a normal process since this is what the PNP promised to our kababayan,” said PGen Eleazar.

The complaint against the two police trainees are serious that is why PGen Eleazar directed already the Rizal Provincial Police Office to conduct a thorough investigation of the case.

He assured that the complainant would be given ample protection from any possible harassment to dissuade her from pressing charges.

“We will let the investigation on the administrative case against the police trainees proceed, and we will leave it up to the courts to decide on the criminal charges that may be filed against the two,” he added.

If the allegations are proven true, we will not let them become part of the PNP. “As early as now, we will cut off any opportunity for them to enter the force and create any abuse of authority,” the PNP Chief stressed.
