Camp BGen Vicente Lim, Calamba City – Philippine National Police (PNP) Chife General Debold Sinas visited the wounded operative of Dasmariñas City Police Station, PSSg Daniray Bohulano, who sustained a gunshot wound on his right arm during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Paliparan 1, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
He was accompanied in his visit by Police Regional Office 4-A (PRO 4A) Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Felipe Natividad.
The wounded policeman was awarded the Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting (PNP Wounded Medal) by PNP Chief Sinas himself and extended financial assistance to his family.
The joint buy=bust operation of Dasmarinas City Police Station (CPS) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) was conducted in Brgy. Paliparan 1 where PSSg Bohulano acted as the poseur-buyer.
.When the suspect sensed that he was dealing with a police officer, the suspect drew his firearm and shot PSSg Bohulano.
After hitting the officer, the suspect fled away from the operatives who were strategically prepositioned and returned fire .
Suspects known as Ernesto Vina y Alvarez, 56 years old, male, married, and a resident of NIA Road Brgy. Paliparan 1 Dasmariñas City, Cavite 1 while Juric Soriano y Gamgam was arrested, 34 years old, male, and a resident of Biña compound NIA Road Brgy. Paliparan 1 Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
PSSg Bohulano was rushed to the Dasmariñas City Medical Center and is now in stable condition .
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) assistance was requested to process the crime scene. Recovered pieces of evidence were live and fired ammunition and cartridges, suspected drugs, and various amounts of money.
