A GROUP of petitioners have asked the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to reverse its earlier decision to junk the latest disqualification case against presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
In a partial motion for reconsideration filed by Margarita Salandanan, Crisanto Palabay, Mario Ben, et al., the group urged that the poll body set aside the resolution of the Comelec First Division last April 20 that dismissed the disqualification case against Marcos for lack of sufficient basis.
The group also insisted that the conviction and judgment rendered against Marcos for violation of laws, including the non-filing of his Income Tax Return, are already solid basis for his disqualification.
The Marcos camp have yet to respond to the appeal against his dismissed disqualification case.
