THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said parents who will accompany their children during vaccination today and tomorrow should not be marked as absent from work.
The parents should also be paid their wages and not be considered absent from work
This is according to Labor Advisory No. 4 released by the DOLE today in relation to Bayanihan, Bakunahan COVID 19 Vaccination Days Part 3.
Covered by the DOLE advisory are all employees in the private sector who will bring their kids to the two-day national vaccination.
The labor department also urged employers to allow their workers to have their children vaccinated and not deduct their absence from their salary if they can show proof of their child or children’s vaccination.
Employers can also allow their employees to use their leave credits.
