This is a blockbuster bout in boxing that everyone’s been eagerly waiting for–a bull-strong and unbeaten champion with knockout-precision hands versus the world’s most admired 8-division champion who so far have stood the test of Father Time and still eager to prove he’s the best in the lot.
The camps of Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, the sport’s only 8-division champ, and knockout specialist Terrence Crawford, are supposedly in talks for that mega fight that will perhaps be the world’s biggest boxing bout after a long while.
The showdown between the 32-year-old and reigning WBO world welterweight king Crawford, unbeaten at 37-0 with 28 knockouts, and Pacquiao, 42, is penciled for a June 5 bout in luxurious Abu Dhabi.
However, the two boxers have yet to sign an official fight contract.
Aside from his glowing boxing record, Crawford is rated by The Ring magazine as its world no. 3 pound-for-pound ruler.
Crawford’s last fight was in November with a 4th round TKO victory against ex-world champ Kell Brook, while Pacquiao has not fought since 2019 after his victory over Keith Thurman and being stripped of his WBA world welterweight crown.
