A FEMALE High Value Individual (HVI) was arrested in a buy-bust operation mounted by Caloocan City police recently.
An estimated over P10 million worth of suspected shabu were also confiscated from the suspect.
The successful drug operation netted the arrest of the HVI identified as Zaida Amod, 45 years old, a resident of Phase 12 Barangay 188 Tala in Caloocan City, according to Caloocan City police chief Col. Samuel Mina.
Col. Mina said that at around 8 a.m., the combined forces of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Caloocan police and the 6th MFC RMFB-NCRPO mounted the buy bust operation at Phase12, Brgy. 188, Tala.
A cop who acted as a poseur buyer managed to transact with the suspect around P140,000 worth of shabu contained in a medium knot-tied transparent plastic bag.
After receiving the marked money, the operatives immediately announced the arrest.
An estimated 1,600 grams of suspected with a standard drug price of P10,880,000, buy-bust money composed of a genuine P1,000 bill at 139 pieces P1,000 boodle money were confiscated from the suspect.
Northern Police District (NPD) Director PBGen. Ulysses Cruz praised Caloocan police chief Col. Mina Jr. for the successful operation and immediate apprehension of the suspect.
The suspect faces charges of violating R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.
