And the accolades keep coming for Fil-Am singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo.
Still a teenager, the 18-year-old’s latest achievement is being named 2022 Woman of the Year by Billboard magazine.
The year 2021 being her signature year with the global smash hit debut single “Driver’s License” that’s become the anthem of every millennial on the planet, and of course her debut studio album entitled “Sour,” solidified her meteoric rise to music industry superstardom.
It’s something that’s reserved only for music legends, and her youthful vibe in storytelling through her scintillating music, coupled with her authenticity and humility, establishes her lofty status in a highly competitive music world.
Her successful connection to audiences around the world through her music and her unique vocal energy was what catapulted “Driver’s License” to the top of the charts all over world, and “Sour” named No. 1 album for 2021 by Rolling Stone was just icing on the cake.
And it’s almost sure that Rodrigo, already with seven Grammy award nominations under her name, will soar even more this year.
As “Sour” made sweet music last year, perhaps her next album should be titled “Soar” for she will surely soar to more success.
