FORMER President and now Pampanga 2nd District Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will not be able to attend the first State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. after testing positive for COVID-19.
Arroyo’s chief of staff Erwin Krishna Santos confirmed the new after Arroyo tested positive in an antigen test on July 15.
She immediately underwent self quarantine under the care of her doctor.
Last Saturday, Arroyo underwent an RT-PCR test and likewise tested positive of the dreaded disease.
Aside from the SONA of President Marcos, Arroyo also missed the opening of the 19th Congress that was held this morning.
