New Malasakit Center opens in Rizal province

The Department of Health Regional Office 4-A (DOH 4-A – CALABARZON) inaugurated yesterday the 98th Malasakit Center located in Rizal province.

Rizal Governor Rebecca Ynares led the opening of the center located at the Casimiro A. Ynares Sr. Memorial Hospital-Montalban Annex. She was joined by their special guest Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go.

This is the third Malasakit Center that opened in Rizal, the other two located in Cainta and Antipolo.

Sen.Go said “Lahat ng mga kababayan natin na mahihirap at nahihirapang makapagpagamot dahil sa kakulangang pinansyal ay matutulungan sa pamamagitan ng Malasakit Center.”

He also assured residents of the second district of Rizal who cannot afford medical treatment that the center will provide medical and health assistance because of its P3-million fund that will be replenished monthly and will be increased as the need arises.

Meanwhile, DOH 4-A Regional Director Eduardo  Janairo  lauded the the establishment of Malasakit Centers in the country. “This will be a  big help to all fellow Filipinos who need better services because it will be a one-stop shop to hasten the delivery of medical services and free medicines in the Philippines,” he said.

 The Malasakit Center is composed of government agencies including the DOH, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) and the Office of the President.
