Nearly 60,000 families were reportedly affected by Typhoon Ulysses in Region 4A or Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) region.
In a latest update from Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD – Regional Office, a total of 59,134 families in the region have been affected from 1,318 barangays.
Of that number, 20,972 families remained in the 531 designated evacuation centers.
A total of 7,532 houses were damaged, and of that number, 6,661 were partially-damaged and 871 totally-damaged.
