THE OCTA Research Group said the National Capital Region (NCR) is now under “low risk” COVID-19 classification from “very low risk.”
According to OCTA Fellow Dr. Guido David, the result came after the region’s seven-day average reached more than 100 for the first time from the early part of December.
Based on OCTA’s latest update posted by David on his Twitter account, it said the seven-day average of new cases in NCR increased to 116 from December 20 to 26.
He said the last time the seven-day average reached more than 100 was last December 3-9 period.
Meanwhile, the region’s reproduction number or the number of individuals who may contract the disease from a patient also went up to 0.85 up to December 23.
The Average Daily Attack Rate (ADAR), on the other hand, also increased to 0.82 per day per 100,000 individuals.
