NAGPAABOT na rin ng karagdagang tulong ang Pamahalaang Panlungsod ng Navotas para sa mga naapektuhang residente sa Cagayan Valley kasunod ng pananalasa ng bagyong Ulysses.
“We have spent most of this year’s budget for our COVID-19 response. However, we are still fortunate to have the capacity to send some assistance to other local government units in dire need of help,” pahayag ni Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco.
Tinatayang 500 foodpacks ang ipinahatid ng local na pamahalaan sa John Wesley College, na pansamantalang naging tuluyan ng maraming apektadong mga residente sa Tuguegarao City. Bawat foodpack naglalaman ng 5 kilong bigas, 13 piraso ng assorted canned goods at 5 sachets ng instant coffee.
“A part of the additional aid we sent to Cagayan came from donations that compassionate individuals and companies have given to Navotas. We are thankful to them but since we did not suffer any grave damage, we are extending their help to those who need it most,” dagdag pa ng alkalde.
