NATANGGAP na ng mga Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) sa Navotas City Jail ang kanilang unang dose ng Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine.
Ang pamahalaang lungsod ng Navotas ay nagbakuna sa 747 PDLs kontra Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
“PDLs are at high risk of contracting COVID-19 due to limited spaces in our city jail. Through vaccination, we hope to ensure the health and wellness of our inmates and eliminate the risk of the facility turning into a COVID hotspot,” ani Mayor Toby Tiangco.
Naglaan din ang lungsod ng 101 doses ng Sputnik V vaccines para sa mga Navoteña PDLs sa Malabon City Jail-Female Dormitory.
Nauna rito, nasa 500 fish workers sa Navotas Fish Port Complex ang nakatanggap ng kanilang unang dose ng AstraZeneca vaccine sa pamamagitan ng night vaccination ng lungsod.
“Our goal is to vaccinate 150,000 Navotas residents and workers and in order to accommodate them, we are willing to adjust our methods and schedules,” sabi ni Tiangco.
Noong Hulyo 16, nasa 98,317 residente at nagtatrabaho sa lungsod ang nakatanggap na ng kanilang unang shot ng COVID-19 vaccine, 45,827 dito ang nakakumpleto na ng dalawang doses.
Gayunman, binalaan ni Tiangco ang mga taong nabakunahan na manatiling mapagmatyag.
“We need to stay alert and continue to practice safety health protocols, especially the proper wearing of face mask. Let’s make it our personal mission to help end this pandemic,” aniya.
