More than 9,000 quarantine violators on first day of Alert Level 2

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) said there were more than 9,000 people who violated quarantine as the National Capital Region (NCR) shifted to Alert Level 2, which started yesterday, November 5, 2021.

Alert Level 2 for NCR will end November 21, 2021.

PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar said the PNP recorded 9,461 quarantine violators on the first day under Alert Level 2, which the PNP Chief said was lower than the 9,746 daily average from October 16 to November 4.

Among the violations committed were curfew violations, which was about 10 percent of the total.

The PNP chief said this was lower than the 24-percent average the police recorded when the region was still under Alert Level 3 status.
