AN estimated 122,985 job vacancies await jobseekers during the upcoming job fair by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on June 12, Independence Day.
During the Laging Handa public briefing, DOLE Assistant Regional Director Alejandro Inza Cruz said that out of this overall number, more than 95,000 are local job opportunities, while more than 27,000 are job opportunities overseas.
Aside from the job fair, one-stop-shops will also be set up in 23 areas around the country to make the processing of required documents easier for job applicants.
Cruz said that aside from the private sector, jobs will also be available in some government offices, including the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Philippine National Police, and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.
