RELATIVES of the “missing sabungeros” met with the Department of Justice (DOJ) to appeal not to drop the case this time.
In a closed-door meeting, DOJ Assistant Secretary Eliseo Cruz addressed more than 20 relatives of the sabungeros from different areas who attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, prior to the meeting, Mary Joy Lopez, the live-in partner of Jayson Amoroto, one of the missing sabungeros, said that they found hope because of of alias “Totoy” or Julie Patidongan’s exposé, which is why they are so grateful to him.
They are also strongly convinced of the truthfulness of the whistleblower’s statement.
The relatives of the missing sabungeros also hope that they will achieve justice and that the perpetrators will be punished.
