LAGUNA – THE Metro Pacific Tollways South Corporation MPT South has an advocacy which promotes road safety in CAVITEX and CALAX motorists.

A word combination “DrayBerks” Drayber and Barkada   aims to educate motorists about safety features of the expresway and also ensure to understand the responsibility for own safety.

Drayberks also aims to contribute to MPT South goals of Zero Fatality, which CAVITEX attained last 2017.

This program gathers motorists and customers who regularly use the CAVITEX and CALAX and shows them how they can take advantage of the safety features of the expressway and play a part in keeping our road safe.

The objectives are to develop and communicate a mindset that MPT South has accountability and responsibility in the service/product it offers to the public, in terms of its adherence to the highest standards of product quality and road safety, introduce and implement a concept that the motorists/customers and host communities in and alongside the CAVITEX and CALAX are also responsible for their safety, develop a customer-centric culture among our internal publics and thus make customer equity the heart of all our operations covering front line and behind-the-scenes operation ,build a relationship of trust and goodwill among our motorists/customers who identify their aspirations and plans with MPTC directions ,have a shared advocacy between motorists/customers/host communities and MPT South personnel with joint efforts in advancing the road safety campaign within their own spheres.

Currently, the MPT South team composed by representatives from the Operations (Traffic, Toll and Security), Environment-Safety-Health (ESH) and Communication and Stakeholder Departments has been conducting the seminar to the Local Government Units along the MPT South Expressway Network to explain the objectives and outline of the program and get their endorsement before conducting Drayberks to the communities.

Last 2019, DRAYBERKS won the Silver Anvil Award for Public Relations Program on a Sustained Basis for Community Development. ANVIL AWARDS is a prestigious award given by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) for outstanding Public Relations Programs all over the country.
