DAVAO City mayor and vice presidential aspirant Sara Duterte-Carpio is the new chairperson of Lakas-CMD.
According to her spokesperson, Liloan, Cebu Mayor Christina Frasco, Mayor Sara accepted the offer to be the party’s chairperson.
Mayor Sara said it is an honor to be the party’s chairperson, Frasco added.
Frasco said together with Lakas-CMD and the support of Filipinos, Mayor Sara expects a successful campaign for her partnership with former Senator and presidential bet Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.
Mayor Sara replaced Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. as party chairman, who volunteered to offer his position to the Davao City mayor.
