Marcos nominates new GM for PCSO

AFTER appointing an Officer-in-Charge for the Department of Health in the person of Undersecretary Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. nominated Melquiades “Mel” Robles as the new General Manager of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

According to Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles, Mel Robles is the former administrator of the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA).

Meanwhile, a Malacañang employee reportedly died this morning.

Angeles said the employee fell from the fourth floor of the Mabini Hall, which is found inside the Malacañang compound.

The victim was identified as Mario Castro, an administrative aide of the Information Communications and Technology Office, which is under the Office of the Deputy Executive Secretary for Finance and Accounting.

The Presidential Security Group and the Philippine National Police are already investigating the incident, according to Angeles.
