Marcos camp sought PNP assistance on slay try

THE camp of former senator and presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos sought the help of the Philippine National Police (PNP) on the death threat he supposedly received.

This was confirmed by PNP Chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos in an ambush interview during the celebration of the 31st PNP Foundation Day Anniversary in Camp Crame in Quezon City.

PGen. Carlos said he received a text message from a liaison officer of Marco regarding the information.

He said the PNP will verify the veracity of the threat.

PGen. Carlos said this is part of their mandate to ensure the safety and protection of all Election 2022 candidates.

It can be recalled that the death threat against Marcos was discovered in a post made via the Tiktok social media platform.
