Security has been tightened at the Manila South Cemetery due to sudden increased of people rushing in to visit loved ones 3 days before it temporarily closes down on October 28 to November 3.
The Manila Police District (MPD) has strictly implemented the “No facemask, No Face shield, No entry Policy” inside the cemetery to avoid being infected by COVID-19.
Bringing of sharp objects even liquors, inflammable materials and children to the cemetery is also prohibited.
Mayor Isko Moreno first called on to the public to avoid a “last minute” visitations or not be able to enter the cemetery.
Moreno earlier made a public announcement that the said cemetery will be temporarily closed on the said dates due to the pandemic.
