Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos announced recently that the city government allotted a total of P200 million that will be used to purchase COVID-19 vaccines.
“We will try our best that all Mandaleños are given the vaccine the moment it becomes available that is why we are asking for everyone’s cooperation,” says Mayor Abalos.
Mayor Abalos instructed all of the city’s 27 barangay captains to fast-track the processing of the F1 forms (Family Form 1) to complete the city’s database of its citizens. “I appeal to all the city’s residents to fill out the F1 forms so that we could determine how many vaccines we will purchase,” she explained.
The mayor also formed a committee that will supervise vaccine procurement and will ensure that there is enough vaccine for all Mandaluyong citizens.
The COVID-19 Cluster Committee members will be in charge of creating a system for vaccination and they expect to complete it and other processes by February.
Mayor Abalos also expects that the database of the city’s residents will be completed soon in time for the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is expected to arrive by March or April this year.
She also said that the city government is currently developing a mobile app that the city will launch soon. The mobile app will function as a registration portal for all Mandaluyong citizens who want to volunteer for vaccination.
